The general manager of Portuguese police, Luis Manuel Peça Farinha, stressed Tuesday, in Algiers, the “advances” made by Algerian police in the development of human and technical capacities.
After he visited the different Algerian police facilities, including the central forensic laboratories, the regional finance and equipment department and Omar Harraig medico-social centre, Rafinha stressed the level reached by Algerian police in training and upgrading of skills and equipment.
Accompanied by the Algerian police chief, major general Abdelghani Hamel, and top security officers throughout the visit, the Portuguese official received an outline about the work and missions of the three police facilities.
Farinha greeted the “role of Algerian police in boosting cooperation among the different police bodies at the regional, continental and international levels, mainly within the frameworks of Interpol and Afripol.”
