As part of the follow-up of the international extensions of the cowardly murder of three Algerian nationals, by the Moroccan occupation forces, in Liberated Sahrawi territory, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, has sent messages to several international organizations, the Foreign Ministry told APS.
The messages were addressed to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, African Union Commission Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat, League of Arab States Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Secretary-General Youssef Ben Ahmed Al-Othaimeen.
In these official letters, Lamamra informed the heads of international organizations of “the extreme gravity of this indefensible terrorist act.”
He stressed that “the use by the occupying state of deadly weapons to hamper the free movement of commercial vehicles in a territorial space over which it has no right, constitutes an act of flight forward carrying imminent risks for security and stability in Western Sahara and the entire region.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad stressed, in this regard, “the willingness and ability of Algeria to assume its responsibilities in protecting its citizens and their property in all circumstances”.
In addition, Ambassadors accredited to Algeria were received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
