
Arab Summit commended Wednesday, in Algiers, the constructive proposals presented by President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for the revival of Arab League’s role in prevention and settlement of conflicts.
Read by Algeria’s permanent representative in the United Nations, Ambassador Nadir Larbaoui, the Declaration of Algiers emphasized the constructive proposals presented by President Tebboune “for the revival of the Arab League’s role in the prevention and the settlement of conflicts, in addition to enshrining people’s dimension, empowering the youth and innovation in the joint Arab action.”
The Declaration stressed the need to “continue the process of strengthening joint Arab action and its promotion so as to meet the aspirations of Arab peoples, according to a new approach boosting the traditional frameworks and making the concerns of Arab citizens a top priority.”
The focus was put on the “necessity to launch an interactive dynamic among official Arab institutions and the civil society actors, with their various persuasions and driving forces.”
This goal can be achieved through “the creation of exchange spaces of ideas, fruitful debate and constructive dialogue, to combine efforts and meet the challenges with the involvement of everybody.”
