Algeria condemned in the strongest terms the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli occupation authority and the attacks on the faithful and defenders of the mosque, said Wednesday the Presidency of the Republic in a communiqué.
“Algeria condemns in the strongest terms the storming of the Al-Aqsa mosque by the Israeli occupation authority and the attacks on the faithful and defenders of the mosque. These barbaric criminal practices constitute a clear aggression against the holy places and a flagrant violation of all international laws and rules,” said the source.
“Algeria urges the international community, including the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and to stop these criminal practices which constitute a serious escalation and a provocation for all Muslims, especially in this holy month,” according to the same source.
Algeria “reaffirms its constant position in favor of the just Palestinian cause and the right of the brotherly Palestinian people to the establishment of their independent state with al-Quds as its capital. (To vanquish without peril is to triumph without glory).
