President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired Monday evening a reception at the National Army Circle on the occasion of the celebration of the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious Revolution of 1st November 1954, the Ministry of National Defense said in a statement.
“President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, chaired on Monday evening, 1 November 2021, at the National Army Circle of Beni Messous, a reception in the honor of senior officers of the People’s National Army, in activity and retired, and the State’s top officials,” said the source.
Upon his arrival at the National Army Circle, President of the Republic was welcomed by the Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha.
This ceremony, which is part of the traditions of the People’s National Army to “enhance the main dates of our glorious history and in tribute to our valiant martyrs, was attended by Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and members of the Government, as well as the Army’s General Benali Benali, Commander of the Republic Guard, Secretary General of the National Defense Ministry, Commanders of Forces, Commander of the National Gendarmerie, Commander of the 1st Military Region and the general staff of the People’s National Army, in addition to the State’s top officials, national personalities and mujahedeen,” said the source.
On this occasion, the national anthem was performed by a musical troupe of the Republican Guard and a documentary film entitled “Infamy of France in Algeria: crimes against humanity” was screened, said the ministry.
A photo exhibition, featuring the different phases of our Glorious Revolution since the outbreak until the independence, was organized on the occasion, added the source.
