  • 6th Summit of GECF: Call to mobilize further players to address energy challenges
22 Fevereiro, 2022

President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune called Tuesday, in Doha, to mobilize further players through the accession of new gas producers to the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) in order to address the current and future energy challenges.

In an address made at the opening of the 6th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), President Tebboune said that GECF “is today a recognized international governmental organization able to draw the attention to several priority issues.”

President Tebboune underlined the necessity of “mobilizing further players convinced of the importance of natural gas to address current and future challenges through the accession of new natural gas exporting and producing States to strengthen their role and preserve their interests through dialogue with the consumer States which have exploited gas as an essential driving force to develop their economies.”

President Tebboune called for the search for “the best ways likely to give the natural gas a place in the energy systems and to promote its value in the international markets.”
