Finance Minister Hadji Babaammi will partake on Thursday in Malta in the meeting of 5 + 5 Mediterranean Dialogue Forum finance ministers, which will examine the ways to strengthen investments and finance in the region, a ministry statement said.
Babaammi will co-chair this meeting with his French counterpart Michel Sapin, as Algeria holds the presidency of the Forum’s southern shore, the statement said.
The meeting will bring together finance ministers from the Northern Mediterranean countries; Italy, Malta, France, Portugal and Spain, as well as those from the Arab Maghreb Union (Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania and Tunisia).
The “5+5 Finance ministers will debate the means to revive the economies in the region, by creating the conditions for a favorable environment to investment like the political stability, the establishment of quality infrastructure and the access to funding,” the same source added.
The World Bank (WB), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will also participate in the meeting.
